Natalie Houser earned a Master of Arts in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University Online. She has built her career around supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and helping people develop the skills they need to become more independent and successful in their everyday lives.
Natalie’s coaching approach is practical, individualized, and strengths-based. She focuses on understanding each person’s goals, identifying barriers that may be getting in the way, and breaking larger goals into manageable steps. Her background in behavior analysis allows her to use evidence-based strategies while keeping coaching collaborative and person-centered. She believes effective coaching should help individuals recognize their own strengths, build confidence, and develop skills they can use independently rather than simply relying on someone else to do things for them.
Throughout her career, Natalie has worked in behavioral and residential settings supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her experience has included behavior support, skill development, community-based support, caregiver and staff collaboration, and helping individuals work toward greater independence. These experiences led her to develop a particular interest in working with young adults and neurodivergent individuals as they navigate important transitions into adulthood, including college, employment, relationships, and community life.
Professionally, Natalie is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and has developed extensive experience supporting individuals with complex behavioral and developmental needs. She is currently a BCBA candidate awaiting testing. She takes pride in helping people make meaningful progress, whether that means developing daily living skills, improving communication and social skills, navigating challenges, increasing independence, or working toward personal goals. She is also continuing to grow professionally and expand her work in coaching and supporting young adults.
Outside of work, Natalie values spending time with family, gardening, her chickens, traveling, trying new things, and enjoying time away from her professional responsibilities. She believes that life should include more than work and responsibilities, and she enjoys helping others find interests, activities, and experiences that make their own lives more fulfilling.
