Carlee Ott

Carlee has always been fascinated by humans — what makes us tick, how we make meaning, and what helps us come alive. From the Enneagram to Human Design, from Astrology to Mythology, she’s spent her life as a devoted student of the many lenses through which we understand ourselves and each other. She studied drawing and painting at Kennesaw State University before stepping into the world of alternative healing, where she worked as a Reflexologist and Aromatherapist — weaving together intuitive, personalized healing experiences for her clients. Along the way, she’s also built stages for festivals, crafted and sold jewelry, managed art stores and a bakery, and served as CEO of a local VR company called Better Than Unicorns. She brings that same creative, entrepreneurial energy to everything she does.

A lifelong self-development junkie, Carlee has used her own journey through depression, ADHD, Religious Trauma Syndrome, and anxiety as a catalyst for deep, lasting transformation. She knows firsthand what it feels like to be stuck — and what it takes to move through it. For over 17 years, Carlee worked as a nanny, specializing in large families, including many with twins, triplets, and children with special needs. Through that work, and as a Human Design Consultant, she has supported countless families in finding more ease, flow, and workable solutions in the texture of everyday life. She has a gift for seeing someone’s authentic weirdness and finding creative, juicy ways to make the ordinary more pleasurable and full of grace.

In her coaching practice, Carlee draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Focused Conversations to craft sessions where people feel truly seen. Her specialty is fostering deep self-compassion, helping clients recognize the conditioning that holds them back, and getting practical and creative about navigating this tricky modern world — with both heart and humor.

When she’s not coaching, you might find her begadang (staying up all night in great conversation), sitting by a stream, or swirling through a Brazilian Zouk session. She loves white water rafting, hiking waterfalls, camping, attending Burns and music festivals, and exploring other cultures and languages. She finds joy in making miniatures, listening to birdsong and world music, creating simple daily rituals for calling in Spirit, and embracing kontal-kontil — that Malaysian feeling of long earrings swinging and a dress swishing as you walk. She’s equally at home in dolce far niente — the Italian sweetness of doing absolutely nothing. Some of her favorite books include The Lord of the Rings, The Elephant Whisperer, Long Life Honey in the Heart, Dracula, and The Emerald Mile.
