She managed a caseload of over 40 children and adolescents who suffered from persistent mental illnesses and intellectual disabilities at a Fundaciones’ Prep Academy. During her time spent in Jamaica she worked directly with the Ministry Health and Education helping to build resources for parents who needed support in the areas of therapy, behavioral education and skills. Krystin worked alongside mental health therapists, physicians, speech/language, and behavioral analysts to help meet the needs of her clients and their families. Krystin also taught and integrated ABA therapeutic style teaching for the teachers to be able to effectively integrate a learning style that was effective for kids with behavioral and intellectual needs. Krystin has always had a passion for a holistic approach to acquiring a healthy mind, body and spirit. During her time living in Jamaica she was educated on the many holistic and natural alternatives that aided in overall mental health. Krystin’s foundation of a holistic approach to health was based on the Greek Philosopher Hippocrates beliefs. Hippocrates believed that there is a direct connection in a person’s health, independence of mind, and need for harmony between that person and their natural environment. At any point in time that there was an imbalance in those areas, that imbalance would also manifest in the person’s life. Krystin’s ability to engage individuals from a holistic, multicultural, and person-centered approach has allowed her to meet the needs of many individuals and their families. Krystin believes that in order to find fulfillment in life, one must reach self-actualization. She believes that life is indeed a journey, and sometimes you may stumble down a road of immense possibilities or deter down a road full of bumps and turns. Today, Krystin lives her life with this simple motto,

“When Life Slams a Door in Your Face…
Open it Again.
It’s a Door.
That’s How They Work”.
