Rob has embarked on a unique personal and professional journey, driven by his aspiration to become the mentor Rob yearned for during his formative years. Rob’s extensive 17+ years of experience gained in nontraditional educational and therapeutic institutions, is a testament to his deep understanding of young adults and their struggles.
Rob’s journey is a tapestry of diverse experiences, each of which has significantly influenced their unique approach to mentorship. For instance, Rob’s role as a Sunday School Teacher taught them the importance of patience and adaptability, while Rob’s experience as a builder of tiny homes for the homeless, their work as a Farmhand and a migrant worker honed Rob’s problem-solving and teamwork skills. As a Caretaker to a child with a traumatic brain injury, Rob learned the value of empathy and resilience. As a mentor for teens, Rob developed leadership and communication skills. These experiences, coupled with his resilience as an abuse survivor and his creativity as an accomplished Musician, have added depth and understanding to Rob’s work.
Rob specializes in working with individuals who walk a different path. Rob utilizes innovative and creative approaches tailored to an individual’s unique passions, interests, and needs to enhance essential life skills. This collaborative effort involves working with parents, therapists, and the individual’s support network, all aimed at fostering autonomy, agency, and self-confidence in a world that often seems alien.
Rob enjoys skating, seeing and playing music, watching films, and eating. Rob enjoys exploring mental health, creating Art in many mediums, photography, loving on animals, and adventure! Rob has received accolades regarding their creativity and ingenuity in the therapeutic realm, helping clients achieve and even further their milestones. Rob has been an accomplished musician, has set out on many adventures backpacking across the country, and has made entrepreneurial inroads in both the musical and therapeutic worlds. Rob brings their experience, heart, curiosity, empathy, compassion, life experiences, and adventuring spirit to their personal and professional life.
