Ann Harris

M. A. in Education Leadership
As a public high school teacher in her 20s, Ann learned the importance of connection and used relationship to inspire and sustain her teaching practices with students. Her years working with Outward Bound instilled grit and resilience, which has affected her coaching skills. Later, while earning my M.A. in Education Leadership, she explored the power of imagination to improve memory. Her methodology, which incorporates elements of many proven educational approaches, is prescriptive, interactive, and co-creative. She is dedicated to finding the approach that works best for your child and your family.

Ann’s experience as an education specialist ensures that she always greets clients with mutiple potential plans in mind for each session, coupled with a flexible mindset that allows her to shift her appraoch and method based on a client’s needs in that particular moment. This intentional approach, embellished with the creativity of spontaneity, allows sessions to be co created, which allows for more enhanced skill building for her clients. Clients will feel “seen,” responded to with no judgement, and nudged into plans of action that are specifically attuned to their needs. Over time, clients build self-accountability skills and confidence as they witness their own support systems working.

Ann is an accomplished educator, with leadership experience in public, private, local, and international school systems. She often supports parents striving to homeschool locally, and homeschooled her own sons off and on throughout their development. She has been designated Teacher of the Year, presented her educational methodologies in national conferences, functioned as a resident leader at Outward Bound, conducted policy analysis globally for large school systems, and founded community schools. She is also a published poet and essayist.

Ann enjoys adventuring with her own mentors, a group of hikers and poets who, in their 70s and 80s, still climb Kilaminjaro and publish their rakish, spirited words. She enjoys many snuggle sessions with her two dogs, and the peace of having launched her own two spicy sons, both who are walking beautiful, successful paths. She relishes the many lessons in life both her sons and students continue to teach her.
