Alana attended Whittier College in Los Angeles, CA and earned her Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology / Sociology. She has always been fascinated by the human experience and how culture and social experiences shape our intrapersonal lives.
After a long professional career working in technology and software sales, Alana experienced a deep calling to step into work that felt more purposeful and meaningful and in service of others. She took the leap into Life Coaching in 2022 and obtained her Transformational Life Coaching certification from the Universal Coach Institute that year. She has experience coaching couples and individuals through relationship changes and helping entrepreneurs find their way forward through internal blocks and limiting beliefs.
In her current work as a Certified Transformational Life Coach, Alana supports others in navigating major life transitions, whether in relationships, family, career, or personal growth. She focuses on helping her clients build a strong sense of self, develop practical life skills, and navigate the significant shifts that often influence the direction of the rest of our lives. Her coaching work is rooted in a deep belief that every person deserves to live a self-determined and fulfilling life—one that reflects their unique gifts, desires, and way of moving through the world. She brings a strengths-based approach to her coaching, helping clients recognize what is already working, while building confidence, self-trust, and a deeper sense of self-love. She also incorporates somatic work to help others tune in and deepen connection with their natural body-wisdom for nervous system regulation, decision making, and as a practice for deepening self-compassion and personal insight. Alana’s approach is grounded, relational, and flexible. She meets each person where they are, supporting them in developing accountability, strengthening communication, and creating tools and systems that make daily life feel more manageable and aligned. She honors that each individual’s path is their own, and creates space for clients to explore who they are, what they care about, and what they truly want for their lives. Her work also incorporates connection to the natural world as a way to support regulation, clarity, and a sense of belonging—both within oneself and in the larger ecosystem of life. With a background in coaching, team leadership, and the study of human behavior, Alana brings both structure and compassion into her work. She is committed to creating a space that feels safe, steady, and real—where clients can grow in confidence, take meaningful steps forward, and feel more at home in their own lives.
Alana is proud to have supported various social causes and non-profits through fundraising and development work, as well as volunteering for hands-on community service projects.
In her personal time, Alana loves spending ample time actively exploring the mountains around Asheville; hiking, running, swimming, paddling, and otherwise playing in nature with her darling dog, Tempo. She is devoted to her emotional and spiritual health and devoted to her wellness practices including meditation, yoga, prayer, journaling, breathwork, and deep presence with the living world. She loves to read, is always learning something new, and loves live music, dancing, and community singing. She is honored to be working with the amazing team at LifeTutors and helping young adults to feel empowered and thrive.
