Theresa Hasting

Theresa Hasting

Theresa Hasting has specialized in working with parents and families for nearly 15 years.  She is a nationally recognized Trainer/Consultant of Nurturing Parenting Programs® and has earned Educator status in Trust Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI), a caregiver model for working with struggling youth. From these specialized trainings, Theresa integrates neuropsychology, somatic practices, and depth psychology into her process.  Having worked in wilderness therapy, residential, and inpatient programs, she is accustomed to working with families in crisis situations and understands the support parents need to navigate their child’s treatment and transition home.

Theresa specializes in working with individuals and families with trauma histories, grief and loss, and attachment difficulties.  She approaches her work from a depth psychology perspective and works with clients to understand and heal the roots of their pain rather than focusing solely on symptom management. Theresa utilizes a holistic approach to working with clients, addressing the body, mind, and underlying intrapersonal and interpersonal systems.

Theresa is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with a Master of Arts in Family Psychology who is licensed in multiple states (GA- LPC Supervisor, HI-LMHC, and TX-LPC-S) and a Registered Sandplay Practitioner.  She is currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Pacifica Graduate University in Depth Psychology with a Specialization in Integrative and Healing Practices.  With nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field, her background includes working as a therapist, parent coach, and administrator in a variety of settings including wilderness, residential, community mental health, and inpatient settings.

Theresa enjoys spending time with her family in nature and teaching her daughter about different cultures.  She is passionate about photography and daydreams of travelling the world, having spent many years as an adolescent in Europe.  Nothing fills Theresa’s soul more than cooking for others and engaging in artistic endeavors.
