Izzy is currently in School at the Somatica Institute. Based in the Bay area in California, Somatica specializes in empowering fulfilling relationships with the self and loved ones. Izzy is an Asheville local, growing up with parents as therapists and it was natural and intuitive to follow suit. After working in Wilderness Therapy as a Field Staff as well as a private coach with young women struggling with self esteem and relationship challenges, it was an easy transition into working with LifeTutors. She specializes in guiding young adults of all kinds through the challenges of becoming balanced and independent in their self and interpersonal care. Izzy believes that the relationships with ourselves and our loved ones impacts the way we operate in the world around us. In working to build a strong sense of self capability and understanding we can show up for ourselves with confidence in moments of both struggle and celebration.
She has worked in the Outdoor Adventure industry taking folks young and old Zip Lining and Whitewater Rafting and has worked as a field staff for a Wilderness Treatment facility. After completing this part of her career she worked individually with folks as a coach. She is currently completing certifications in Intimacy and Relationship coaching as well as a sex educator certification. These will enable her to work with clients in need of support in their romantic and relational lives, specifically with navigating the struggles that come with dating, romance, self esteem and developing heathy boundaries and practical self care in these departments. She also works to facilitate understanding and confidence in friendships and familial relationships through communication skills, finding the self love in all dynamics and creating confidence in connection with others.
Izzy makes self love a priority. Her upbeat joyful energy helps make it possible for those ready to do the work feel not so alone through the process of creating a life best fit for them. She enjoys spending as much time outside as possible with a special place in her heart for hiking to waterholes and swimming in the cold mountain water. She enjoys rollerskating, laying in the sun with her dog and a good book. She enjoys creating art of all kinds and spending time with those she holds close to her heart, bringing folks together for game nights and dinner parties.
